Objectives of teaching:

1.Cognitive objectives:

-to identify the new gramatical structure

-to use the new grammar structure  properly



-to write exercises using the new structure

2.Affective objectives:

-to stimulate pupils' imagination and creativity

-to give pupils confidence in their ability to use the English  language

-to have fun while studying English language

Aims:

-formative: to develop pupils' communicative competence by using proper lexic and grammar  

structures

-educational: to reinforce the pupils' confidence in their ability to use the English language

I'll greet the class and I'll ask for absentees

The pupils will greet back, and the pupil on duty will name the absentees.

I'll ask pupils to write it on the blackboard(if necessary) and correct the mistakes.

The Ss will read and write the homework on the blakboard , and correct the mistakes(if necessary).

Which sentences tell us what happened before  the police found the toyota?


The Ss will answer the T's questions.

"Why they had left the car near the river full of crocodials?"

"Why they had left the map behind?''

"Why they had drawn a cross on the point where the car was?'

The driver had parked  it near the river.

"They had left it under the "Beware of crocodiles"sign

Presenting the new lesson

If you paid attention to the sentences from your text you would notice a new tense: Past Perfect  Tense.

It express an action completed before another action or moment in the past .

This form consists of HAD followed by the past participle of the main verb.

EX: 1) He had read the novel before he saw the film

2)Had you written your homework before your parents come home?

3)She didn't left the house until the rain had stopped.




Translate into English using Past Perfect :


1)Nu mi-am putut cumpara dictionarul caci imi cheltuisem banii.

2)Cand am ajuns acasa fratele meu plecase deja la scoala.

3)Cand mama a intrat in camera Veronicai , ea tocmai isi termina-se temele.

Now let's practice the new grammar structure.

Put the verbs into past perfect simple:

1)She told me her name after she(leave)

2)I just (get) home when the rain started.

3)It (rain) before we went aut for a walk.

4)Alice went on a trip as soon as she (got) her exam results.

5)Gina just (get dressed)when her cell phone rang.


I'll give each pupil a worksheet with exer-cises .Before they start working I'll ask again about the using of Past Perfect Tense.
